As a marine biologist turned mom, I know first hand about the dire issues our planet is facing. We have a huge waste problem on this planet that is directly correlated to climate change and global environmental health decline! My goals in life have shifted tremendously and are now focused on inspiring, educating, and creating a healthy future for my not only myself but for my children’s health in hopes to have a brighter cleaner future ahead.
Perhaps you’d like to ask yourself:
- Is your trash at home overflowing with plastics you’re not sure if you can recycle?
- Do you buy to-go coffee everyday?
- Do you often buy snacks or treats that you later regret?
- Do you feel like your diet could benefit from fresher foods?
- Do you want to lose weight?
- Do you wish you spent more time cooking and connected to the food you put in your body?
- Do you wish you had a garden?
- Do you drink enough water?
- Do you know a local butcher? Dairy farm? Farmer’s market? Urban Farm?
If you said yes to most of the above and might have a sneaking suspicion that plastic has snuck into your life under for simple convenience only to clutter your life with trash and unhealthy habits, it might be time for change. It is easier than you think to reduce your waste in your home and everyday life. Follow along in my journey as I reduce my waste and declutter my life as MOM of two boys and move towards a more sustainable plastic free lifestyle!
I challenge you… how can you reduce waste in your everyday life?
